About Me ( It took me awhile to think of that awesome title. )

My name is Aidan. I love music and everything associated with music. I play drums and have a band. I have always wanted to become a famous musician. I love sports. I play baseball a lot and I love to ski. I love going to my cabin at Bear Valley Mountain.  I go skiing at least twice a month and I love to ski powder. I have one brother named Hank, a sister named Tess, and two loving parents named Henry and MaryAnn. I enjoy spending time with my pets, my dog and cat.  I am an un-published author. I wrote a book in last November. I like to spend time with my friends and go to the movies. I value sarcasm and a good sense of humor.

My mandala is a symbol of my life.  I took my whole life and stuck it in a paper circle when I drew this. Many things are on my mandala, but not all are there for a reason. The quote in the center of my mandala is a motto I try and live my life by: “You can’t always get what you want.” It was written by one of my favorite bands, The Rolling Stones. Below the quote is a small snare drum. The drum is a symbol of the music inside me. There is a tree stretching across the whole paper. It shows all aspects of my life… so far. Inside the tree there is a baseball. I realized when I was writing this paper that I play a lot more sports and not just baseball, but for reasons of space in the drawing, I didn’t put symbols of the other sports in. Around the tree are piles of papers. These papers represent how unorganized I am, but that is just my personality. Hiding among the pile of papers on the left is a 33 1/3 record. It is there for a couple of reasons. One, I like records and have a small collection of them. Two, I consider myself very old school. Three, I just really like that kind of stuff. That clock hanging from the tree on the right side only has one meaning. If you look at it closely, you will see that the hands are on one and three. That is my age! I am thirteen and thought that I should have something about my age in my mandala. And last, but certainly not least, is the drum rim that surrounds the entire mandala. This is a symbol of how drumming surrounds my life. That is my mandala, and it really is a symbol of my life.
