An ode is a form of poetry. It doesn't have to rhyme, or the words don't have to fit well, it can be any length... really it has no rules at all. I had fun writing this ode because it is totally random and doesn't make a lot of sense. I liked it so much that I read this out loud at Poetry Night.
Beanie Babies
Those poor beanie babies
They don’t have brains
Just beans
Doomed to go
And watch those “smart animals”
Those poor beanie babies
Waiting to be held
By a person
With a mind of their own
Those poor beanie babies
They don’t age well
And soon
Their covered in dust
And thrown away
So please
Take care of your beanie babies
Treat them well
“a message from the foundation for a better life”
